NRG reveals profit growth

Northern Recruitment Group has reported a 4% increase in pre-tax profit of £2m for the year ended 30 June 2007, compared with £1.95m in 2006.

Its revenue grew 22% to £22.3m in the year, compared with £18.3m in 2006. Gross profit was up 7% at £7.6m, compared with £7.1m in 2006.

Chairman Leo Finn (pictured) says:  “The results for the year are better than we anticipated at the time of our trading statement in May. Strong growth in our core permanent recruitment businesses, and the delivery of temporary staff, was partially offset by continuing low activity levels at our NRG Connect national response handling unit.”
