Adecco claims economic downturn will hit sales

Multi-sector recruiter Adecco has retained its long-term earnings targets but continues to believe a slowdown in economic growth will weigh on its sales this year, according to its chief executive.

Dieter Scheiff, chief executive at Adecco, told Swiss newspaper Finanz und Wirtschaft: "We won't reach the range of 7-9% in growth in the current year due to the current economic development, as we have already said in our quarterly report, but we will be able to reach the margin target of 5%, if the economic situation remains roughly at its current level."
