Reed.co.uk chairman James Reed has met with the three would-be secretaries of state for work and pensions: Yvette Cooper (Labour), Steve Webb (Liberal Democrat) and Theresa May (Conservative).

Reed.co.uk chairman James Reed has met with the three would-be secretaries of state for work and pensions: Yvette Cooper (Labour), Steve Webb (Liberal Democrat) and Theresa May (Conservative).

Reed asked people to send in their questions two weeks ago.  Five were chosen from more than 500 questions, representing jobseekers’ key concerns.

Reed’s questions, as asked by jobseekers, included:

·      How do you intend to get young people back to work?

·      How can you stop the influx of foreign workers that are taking jobs away from UK citizens?

·      All I hear about is help for youth. What about the older worker who has been hit by redundancy?

·      What will you do to support the up-skilling and training of the UK workforce to help us compete on the world stage?

·      What can the UK government do to help support small and medium-sized businesses with the aim
