Shop fitting recruiter XJS Interiors anticipates a year of growth after securing funding against all of its invoices from Cattles Invoice Finance.
The recruiter, which has recently won contracts with companies that fit out House of Fraser and JD Sports stores, as well as Yo Sushi and Wagamama restaurants, has been able to increase its recruitment offering to cover freelance contract positions as well as interims due to the factoring service provided by Cattles Invoice Finance.
Clive Bateman, director at XJS Interiors, told Recruiter the firm had benefited from being a niche staffing firm: “We specifically recruit for shop fits and office refurbishments. We are very specialist in what we do. We are not a generic construction recruitment firm. Because we are so niche, companies are getting someone specialised in the shop fitting industry. We have a core base of experienced tradesmen from that background.
“Woolworths has closed down, but those stores have been purchased by Iceland. That is shop fit work that needs to be undertaken.
“At the lower end of the market, Aldi and Lidl are looking at increasing stores. There is still work out there that needs to be done. The growth and expansion is there.”
