Britain’s love of coffee shows no signs of abating and is boosting jobs in the hospitality sector.

Industry analysts Allegra Strategies says there are now 3,712 coffee outlets in the UK, up 6.4% on last year.

Jacqui Sterry, director at Mise en place, told Recruiter: “It is a growing market trend without doubt. We have seen an increase in clients that specialise in that sector. It is affordable, quick and easy. People working in a freelance business can conduct meetings in these outlets. It is definitely a growing niche.”

Gary King, director at Collins King and Associates, adds: “Some of the specialist companies have been putting their brand into corporate sites. Quite a number of our clients have pushed to have coffee brands in their corporate sites.”
