There has been a 45% rise in the number of people working part-time because they cannot secure a full-time post, according to analysis from the Institute for Public Policy Research.

The analysis shows reveals that the number of people working part-time because they can’t find full-time work has reached over 1m, while the number of temporary workers unable to find permanent jobs has risen to 40%.
