Student newspaper group, the Sanctuary Newspapers, has launched a graduate recruitment firm.
Sanctuary Search, a peer2peer graduate recruitment company, identifies and places high-calibre students for firms recruiting graduates.
The firm helps to manage graduate recruitment and can find candidates with a specific skill for a niche role and top up numbers on a graduate scheme post application deadline and after exams.
The company has been formed to develop a parallel approach to those companies who advertise for graduates in the pages of The Sanctuary’s 12 independently run papers serving Nottingham, Bristol, Durham, Manchester, Exeter, UCL, Warwick, Leeds, Birmingham, Oxford, Cambridge and LSE universities.
The Sanctuary Group is not connected to social care recruiter Sanctuary Personnel.
Tom Freeman, managing director of The Sanctuary Group, says: “Given the recession and HR functions suffering budget cutbacks, peer2peer recruiting is vital to all employers as it targets those graduates you really want to reach through the methods that work best – with no fee unless successful. The strength of the recruitment platform is highlighted by the fact that Unilever and Standard Life have already signed up as clients.”
