Santander has launched the Santander School Leaver Programme.

Designed for post A-level students interested in a career in financial services, the programme offers on-the-job experience in a five year structured development programme in customer facing roles across the bank and contact centre networks. Attendees will also work towards achieving their Chartered Banker Status, a professional qualification equivalent to a degree level qualification.

Simon Lloyd, HR director, Santander, says, “At Santander our most valuable asset is our people and we have a wide range of support programmes available to staff which provide for truly rewarding careers. The School Leaver Programme is an exciting opportunity for us to develop and retain talent, and we see our investment in young talent as being an important step on the road to becoming the best commercial bank in the UK.”
