Select Education to rebrand

Select Education will rebrand as Randstad Education under a two-year transition programme.

Select Education will rebrand as Randstad Education under a two-year transition programme.

The rebranding follows Randstad’s acquisition of Select Education’s parent company, Vedior, last year.  The name change to Randstad Education will not only apply to the Select Education recruitment company brand itself, but will serve as the umbrella name for a subsidiary group of education recruitment organisations previously known as the Vedior Education Recruitment Business (Verb) Group (Recruiter, 25 July 2007).

In addition to Select, the Verb Group included Special Agent, Arete Leaders, teachanywhere.com and Supreme Education.

Peter Flannery, managing director of Select Education, has been appointed managing director of the Randstad Education group. Verb Group chairman Bob Wicks retains the title of executive chairman.

The transition period will proceed as follows: from now (April 2009) to January 2010, the organisation will be known as “Select Education soon to be Randstad”. From January 2010 to January 2011, it will be known as “Randstad Education formerly Select Education”.

Flannery said:“The process will be managed with great care over the next 24 months to ensure a smooth transition that will bring greater opportunities for both us and our customers in the future.”

A company spokesman declined to reveal a cost for the rebranding.
