Bandwagon opportunists, environmentalists and pinstriped traditionalists can be seen in every office

Office workers fall into six distinct groups characterised, according to research by Office Angels.

The survey found that 31% of office workers are liberal mediators. They believe everyone has a right to have their say, and are typically found in middle-management positions.

It found 21% of workers are bandwagon opportunists: canny workers who spot trends in advance and are passionate about new ideas.

According to the survey, 19% of office workers are shop stewards, they know their rights and fight their corner, they are typically found in office roles that require tenacity and dedication.

Pinstriped Traditionalists make up 16% of workers. These employees don’t like change. They are motivated by personal reward, they work hard to gain the next promotion.

It found that office environmentalists make up 10% of the UK office. They combine professionalism with personal passion, a growing force in the work place. This type of worker has strong ethics and is highly trusted by colleagues.

Office Eccentrics, a small but vocal element of the workforce, make up just 3% of any office.
