Stafforce acquisitions set to continue

Multi-sector recruiter Stafforce Personnel expects to announce another acquisition within the next two weeks, according to chief executive Ian Anderson.

But the deal is not for a recruitment company, he tells Recruiter: “There’s another acquisition coming that will allow us to not just talk about how many people do you want - right now what we’re doing is adding value, working with clients to improve their profitability […] we’re moving away from the traditional recruiting model.”

If it goes through, it will be the fourth such deal in six months.

Earlier this week Stafforce announced the acquisition of technical recruitment specialist TEK Personnel and Anderson is setting his sights on further growth: “We intend to be a top 10 recruiter in the next three years.”

Beyond the next couple of weeks however Anderson says: “Next year we’ll be making sure everything fits and works as we think it should do, so we’re not rushing into new acquisitions - but never say never.”

Anderson also tells Recruiter that the current climate does not lend itself to success for small recruitment firms: “If you look at AWR and other recruitment legislation you’ll see it makes entry into the market for the sort of one-man band recruiters very difficult.”
