Strong performance for Vedior in 2006_2
Vedior has reported a strong operational performance across all major regions in 2006.
The company reported a 12% increase in sales to €7.7bn (£5.04bn) in 2006, compared with €6.9bn (£4.5bn) in 2005.
Gross profit was €1.4bn (£941.1m) in 2006, compared with £1.2bn (£808.2m) in 2005, an increase of 16%.
Chief executive Zach Miles said: “In 2006, Vedior continued to expand its geographic coverage and made important acquisitions in professional/executive recruitment sectors. During the year we completed, on average, one acquisition per month.
“Our focus is on improving our business mix and profitability has led to an excellent improvement in operating income for the year and out us on track to achieve our operating margin targets.”
The company’s fourth quarter results saw sales of €2.0bn (£1.3bn), compared with €1.8bn (£1.2bn) in 2005. Gross profit rose to €390m (£257.8m), compared with €338.4m (£228.3m)in the previous year.
Vedior reported the strongest improvements in operating income in the accounting/finance, traditional, engineering/technical and education sector.
