Travel recruiter GK Executive Search has successfully placed Karen Plumb as commercial director EMEA for business listings at holiday review site Trip Advisor.

The newly created role sees Plumb tasked with leading the sales, marketing and product development of Trip Advisor’s recently launched listings business, which is aimed at hoteliers, B&Bs and other accommodation providers.

Plumb was previously marketing director at Utell Hotels. She has also worked in senior e-marketing roles with Wyeth Europa Pharmaceuticals, Tesco Direct, Lastminute.com and Cheapflights.com. She reports directly to Nathan Clapton, VP Partnerships who is based in Trip Advisor’s head office in Massachusetts.
