Sunny weekends give Staffline 10% temp boost

A good weather forecast for the weekend can give multi-sector recruiter Staffline a week-long boost in temporary demand, according to its managing director.

Andy Hogarth, managing director of Staffline, told Recruiter: “If the forecast for the weekend’s weather is good you start to get an increase in demand from food manufacturers because the supermarkets will want to put more sausages and beer on their shelves.”

However, Hogarth says the length of the “food chain” meant an erroneous report of rainy days often leads to a wasted opportunity.
