The Age and Employment Network (TAEN) has launched an online tool has for companies delivering welfare to work programmes on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions.
The tool, 50+ Works, is a free-of-charge, provides checklists, case studies and good practice tips, as well as signposting to other tools and sources of information.
Chris Ball, chief executive of TAEN, said: “The government’s welfare reform agenda and the introduction of the work programme, together with rising unemployment and changing demographics, all mean that older jobseekers are going to become an increasingly important group as far as those working in the sector are concerned.”
The 50+ Works: Good Practice Guide for providers supporting 50+ jobseekers has been jointly funded through the ESF Technical Assistance Budget and Department for Work and Pensions’ Age Diversity Budget.
