More than a third of IT director are looking to change their job within the next year, according to a survey by silicon.com.

The survey found that the main reason for the change was found to be a desire of a new challenge. The other main reason for switching jobs included career progression and insecurity over the future of the company they are currently working for.

The desire to earn more money came low down, only 6% of IT directors said this was a reason.

However the survey also found that around 64% of IT directors are happy in their current position.
