Employers may need to compromise on time, quality or cost to secure the right hire, according to Sharon Kardam (left), director European recruitment, Vistaprint.

Kardam told delegates at last week’s Smart Resourcing 2010 conference at London’s Millennium Mayfair: “Time, quality, cost. It’s pretty much impossible to achieve all three. Something has to give.

“It’s not a popular message to give back to the business, but there does have to be a trade-off. It’s very important to have a conversation with the business about what that trade-off should be.”
