The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) has reported a rise in turnover to 31 December 2006.

Accounts released by the trade body show that turnover rose to £5,676,185, up from £4,951,185 for the same period last year.

The body was left with a surplus before tax of £201,644, up from £158,510 last year.
