Travel jobs at Britain’s other airports could be affected by Heathrow’s expansion, recruiters have claimed.

Last week, the Campaign for Better Transport claimed that targets for emissions from aviation agreed as part of the Heathrow deal will restrict other UK airports.

John Tolmie, managing director at AA Appointments told Recruiter: 

“Any restriction on other airports expansion would certainly have an affect on their growth and with restricted growth comes restricted recruitment.”

Steven Newbold, director at Dome Recruitment, adds: “There is going to be an influx of people and with the new jobs created by the new runway at Heathrow, this will take jobs away from Stansted and Luton.”
