US retained executive search firm Trilogy Search Non+Profit has recruited two top-level executives for the Book Trust, a non-profit organisation in the US that provides underprivileged children with the opportunity to enjoy and have their own books.

Michael J Coffin has been named executive director of Book Trust. Coffin has held a series of top-level positions with technology and energy-related companies, including chief executive of Wavo Corporation, a public digital media company, and chairman and CEO of Aerocast, a broadband streaming media company founded by Liberty Media and Motorola.

Timothy J Magner has been appointed a board director. His experience in the education sector involves currently serving as vice-president, strategic partnerships, for KC Distance Learning, as well as previously serving as the director, office of educational technology, for the US Department of Education.
