After working in the recruitment industry for 20 years, I have learned that the figures reported by any governmentorientated organisations are total fabrication (‘Unemployment rises to 2.26m’, 17 June).

They fail to represent any true figures. My personal view on these reported numbers are that the government is frightened to print the true figures, as there is a general election looming.

There are lies, damned lies, and government statistics!
