UK’s economy one of weakest within G7

The UK economy grew by just 0.7% in the past year, according to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

This makes the UK the worst performing economy in the group of seven developed nations (G7) apart from Japan.
The best performing G7 economies were Germany, with growth of 2.7%, followed by France and the US, both 1.6%.
According to the OECD, economic growth across its 34 member states has slowed for four successive quarters.
