The use of temporary agency labour rose by 22% in April, compared with this time last year, according to data from procurer of temporary agency labour de Poel.
The use of temporary agency labour rose by 22% in April, compared with this time last year, according to data from procurer of temporary agency labour de Poel.
The data also reveals the number of hours worked by temporary agency workers increased by an average of 22.45% last month and some sectors, such as construction, business services and logistics, experienced higher growth than this.
Matthew Sanders, chief executive of de Poel, says: “April has continued to see a growth in the use of temporary agency labour, which may be down to the unprecedented number of Bank Holidays in the month.”
