There will be opportunities out there for Coffee Republic employees, following the coffee chain’s entry into administration.
The coffee bar and deli chain, which operates from a total of 187 UK and overseas outlets and franchises, said yesterday that three of its operating subsidiaries were in the hands of administrators.
Nick Clover, managing director at Appetite4recruitment, told Recruiter: “I think candidates will be able to move and retrain. If I was a store manager and I would drop to assistant manager and progress.
“Some jobs will be retained some will not. Any company that takes over want to make their mark. There will be natural attrition.”
James Colairo-Moss, director at Edge Recruitment, adds: “There are always live jobs coming up for coffee positions.
“On the management side, there are opportunties and the skills are transferable. There are opportunities to move into juice bars and retail hospitality outlets.”
