London has proved popular with international shoppers this year as it so cheap, according to Grant Morris, director at Elite Associates.

“Most of the designer brand companies I have been talking to have said London is doing brilliantly. They want to make as much as they can from London because most other places in the world are suffering.”

Stefan Brown, head of retail recruitment at ROC Recruitment, adds: “If you are looking at the high end, most shoppers come from the Middle East. They are still getting a good deal. In Europe, they are still higher than the pound. If it does turn it will affect them adversely.”
