He is joined on the board by recruitment industry veteran Graham Palfery-Smith, who also sits on the board of recruitment customer relationship management tool ebsta and Ian Temple, chairman of recruiter Hydrogen. Temple and Palfery-Smith are also among the other investors. The sum raised is in addition to a substantial amount of seed capital provided by McGuire himself. As previously reported by Recruiter, cube19 was launched by entrepreneur Dan McGuire, formerly managing director of multi-posting and CV search software firm Broadbean Technology, in May. The cloud-based business intelligence and predictive analytics system was heralded as one of UK recruitment technology’s Game Changers in the October edition of the magazine.
He previously built Broadbean Technology into one of Europe’s fastest-growing technology firms before it was sold to DMGT, the digital consumer division of Associated Northcliffe Digital.
McGuire (right), whose first job in recruitment was as a consultant at SThree, says: “We set out to create a product that is genuinely different and I believe we’ve done that. The fact that such an illustrious group of investors has decided to put their time and money into cube19 demonstrates the excitement that is building around this business.”
Clements, who will retire from SThree next year after 26 years at the company, says: “Cube19 is a technology start-up with a truly innovative business analytics product that has many potential applications, not least in the recruitment field. I’m looking forward to working with Dan and the team to help accelerate the growth of the business.”
