SAP takes on Autodesk’s Jeffery in global role

Enterprise applications and software provider SAP has appointed Matthew Jeffery to the newly-created role of global head of talent acquisition strategy and innovation.

Enterprise applications and software provider SAP has appointed Matthew Jeffery (left) to the newly-created role of global head of talent acquisition strategy and innovation.

Jeffery, who has over 20 years of recruitment experience, will join the firm on 4 March from design and engineering software firm Autodesk, where he has been head of EMEA talent acquisition and global talent brand for the past two years.

He reports into senior vice president of global talent acquisition Susan Bor, who says: “A key focus initially for Matthew will be engaging & inspiring entry level talent and ensuring that SAP is truly a career of choice for talented graduates. This will ignite SAP’s internal mobility engine and ensure that we can truly grow from within.”

Jeffery, who has been a high-profile chronicler on recruitment trends, and was also named recruitment personality of the year at the Recruiter Awards for Excellence 2010, tells Recruiter: “By 2015 they [SAP] aim be a $20bn (£12.8bn) business, reach a billion people, build a $2bn cloud business and become the fastest growing database company. To achieve these goals they are hungry to attract, recruit and retain the brightest talent."

SAP has 65,000 employees in over 130 countries.
