Talent management firm a&dc has provided an online pre-assessment process used in the first stage of a new recruitment drive for constables at the Avon & Somerset Constabulary.
The process created by a&dc is known as SIFTTM (screening individuals for fit and talent).
Following a freeze on officer recruitment for the past three years, the force attracted 3,996 applicants.
As reported by recruiter.co.uk, in January neighbouring police authority Wiltshire Police were forced to close their online applications two-and-a-half-hours after opening them up, after their website was overwhelmed with over 300,000 hits to the website.
