Mon, 4 Feb 2013Recruitment companies featured less prominently in the Sunday Times’ annual Best Mid-Sized Companies to Work For 2013 listings than in previous years, with Adecco UK the highest entrant at number 24.
One of four industry representatives in last year’s top 25, Adecco maintained the position it held last year, while welfare-to-work provider Pertemps People Development Group, which came second in 2012, did not feature at all this year.
The list, compiled on behalf of the Sunday Times by Best Companies, comprises organisations of 250-4,999 employees.
The full list of the 10 recruitment, HR and welfare-to-work entrants featuring in this year’s list, down from 14 last year, follows:
(Of the above, all are recruitment-only firms aside from HR consultancy Penna and welfare-to-work company Ingeus. Although PageGroup is listed as a new entrant, the recruiter appeared last year as Michael Page International and has since rebranded)
As was the case last year, no recruitment firms featured on the list of the 25 Best Big Companies to Work For, featuring firms with over 5,000 staff.
Next week (Sunday, 10 March) sees the publication of the Best Small Companies list – although under press embargo until then, Recruiter is already aware of several recruitment companies making the list. Check back for a full breakdown next Monday, 11 March, on recruiter.co.uk.
The final list in the series is Best Not-For-Profit Organisations, which will be published on Sunday, 17 March.
