AIG Europe
The insurance provider us to create up to 25 apprentice roles based in the firm’s claims centres in Chesterfield and Croydon.
The firm’s UK managing director Nicolas Aubert says: “There is a very real need within our industry to attract young people with flair and capacity for hard work to deliver excellent results. I believe apprenticeships is a great way for us, as one of the world’s largest insurance companies, to invest in the future by offering exciting opportunities that young people will value.”
Apprenticeships opportunities at the firm will be advertised on the National Apprenticeship Scheme's website.

The industrial recruitment agency says it will taken on “at least 10” apprentices over the coming months.
The firm says it currently has 20 current and former apprentices working across its different regions and divisions as well as in its Wrexham, North Wales head office.
Opus Energy
Opus Energy, a supplier of gas and electricity to businesses, will also appoint 10 new apprentices this year.
Five are due to come on board this week, with the other next five to come on board in September, in Opus-tailored customer service or business administration apprenticeships.
The firm took on 11 apprenticeships last year in the scheme’s launch, and is this year working with local Northampton College to identify potential hires.
Annamarie Petsis Jones, head of HR, learning and development at Opus Energy, says: “The majority of the apprentices that we took on last year were young, unemployed local people. We have been bowled over by the success of the scheme – not only has Opus Energy made such a positive impact on the lives of the apprentices, but they have brought a lot to the company.”
