Thu, 13 Jun 2013This week saw the launch of the BBC’s new online Careers Hub, through which it will direct recruitment across all its disciplines, from TV and radio to online, technology and future media, via head office and even its five orchestras.

It will also work as a “proactive resourcing function” allowing the corporation to leverage its contingent workforce, according to developer, recruitment software provider TribePad.

TribePad says the website will deliver a dramatic cost-per-hire saving to the BBC.

Annabel Dixon, head of resourcing at the BBC, says they took the decision to work with TribePad “due to their ability to assist us with our whole recruitment process, from attraction, engagement and selection, utilising social media and content, through to providing our candidates with an optimal experience”.

The parties agreed to work together in August, as reported by recruiter.co.uk

  • Earlier this week, YouView, a broadcasting joint venture between a number of organisations including the BBC, chose to renew and expand its recruitment process outsourcing deal with recruiting firm cph, as reported by recruiter.co.uk.
