New directors voted in at REC’s AGM

Five new corporate directors and four individual directors were voted onto the council of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) yesterday at the organisation’s AGM.

Five new corporate directors and four individual directors were voted onto the council of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) yesterday at the organisation’s AGM.

The four newly-elected individual directors, including one re-elected candidate, are:
A total of 22 REC members had stood for the nine roles. The AGM also saw honorary fellowships of the Institute of Recruitment Professionals awarded to Jonathan Lee, founder of Jonathan Lee Recruitment and David McArthur, a recruitment manager at the Department for Work and Pensions.
The list of the full council is due to be updated on the REC’s website shortly.
A total of 1,131 votes were online, in the third year that electronic voting has been offered. This represents 6.8% turnout. Green says that allowing remote voting “is much more democratic” than when only those attending the AGM had been able to cast a vote.

- Katy Forsyth, owner/director, Red Recruitment
- Diane Martyn, group managing director, Staffline
- Christopher Moore, MD, Adecco
- Sarah Thewlis, MD, Thewlis Graham

- Susie Ankrett (re-elected), director, Plum Personnel
- Michael Bennett, director, Rethink
- Marshall Evans, group operations director, Staffline
- Neeti Gupta, MD, BD Consult
