Enterprise Ventures serves up funds for Regent Recruitment

Manchester-based staffing company Regent Recruitment, which recruits chefs for some of the world’s best restaurants, has received an investment from the North West Fund for Venture Capital, managed by Enterprise Ventures.

Regent Recruitment was founded by Veena Hira in 1997 and has offices in Manchester and London. Its clients include The Savoy, The Ritz, The Dorchester, St James’s Club, Pollen Street Social and Rex Restaurants which operates The Wolseley and The Delaunay. International clients include names such as the Burj Al-Arab in Dubai and the Taj Group in India.
The firm will use the funding to invest in marketing and infrastructure and build its client base.
The North West Fund for Venture Capital is part of the £155m North West Fund, which is financed jointly by the European Regional Development Fund and the European Investment Bank.
As part of the investment, Sue Craven, who built and subsequently sold the executive search firm Armstrong Craven, has joined the business as a non-executive director.
