Fri, 13 Sep 2013Viridium Associates, part of the Phaidon International group, is predicting an upsurge in recruitment for wind construction projects in the US next year.
According to the company, new legislation requiring wind farm construction to begin by December 2013 or they will not receive government tax credits, will drive demand for skilled workers.
“This area has been fairly dormant in terms of recruitment in comparison to the transmission industry, for example. We expect it to pick up dramatically once the wind farm construction projects begin in 2014,” says RJ Jayaratne, business manager, Viridium Associates.
