Tue, 1 Oct 2013Antal International has sold its Polish business in an $8.67m (£5.35m) cash deal.
Antal Poland was bought by Work Service, a fast-growing temporary, contract and recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) company based in Poland.
Speaking to recruiter.co.uk from Warsaw, after the deal was completed, Tony Goodwin, chief executive officer and founder of Antal International, said the news was “fantastic”.
Goodwin said that Work Service gained Antal’s three offices in Krakow, Warsaw and Wroclaw, as well as Antal’s fast-growing contract business in Poland. Antal International’s 100 Polish staff are being transferred to Work Service.
Goodwin said that Work Service had aspirations “to become the Hays of Central Europe”.
Antal first set up in Poland 18 years ago. “This isn’t here today gone tomorrow recruitment. We worked hard over a sustained period of time to get our just deserts,” said Goodwin.
In a similar deal in 2008, Antal International sold its Russian subsidiary to FiveTen Group, and has since recruited back into the business the executive who built that operation.
