UK recruitment firm Oil Consultants makes Houston its new home

Specialist recruiter Oil Consultants has opened a new office in energy industry hub of Houston.

This follows the opening of an Australian office, and the establishment of trading entities in both Indonesia and Malaysia, in 2012. The firm has two UK offices and a presence in China and Trinidad.

Houston will be staffed by North America region chief executive Jon Marrs, who joins from UK training business Elmfield Training, with his team completed by David Alexander, Allen Page and Carlton West.

Oil Consultants was one of the winners of a Queen's Award for Enterprise this year – the UK’s highest accolade for business success.

Other firms expanding in Houston to serve the oil & gas market in 2013 include TEC Group, energy and earth sciences recruiter EarthStream Global, and executive search specialist Park Brown.
