Turnover at the company dropped to £68.7m from £77.7m the previous year, leaving the firm with gross profit of £15.7m, down from £19.3m. It had stood at £21.4m in 2010.

This translated to a profit for the year of £800k, compared with £1.2m in 2011.

The City recruiter’s results, filed at Companies House, also show the average number of employees at the company dropped from 265 to 202, with 126 fee earners against 162.
