Growth continues as Randstad reports Q4 net income of £86.2m

International multi-specialist recruitment consultancy Randstad reported quarterly adjusted net income of €104.8m (£86.2m) on revenue of €4.28bn, both up 1% from a year ago.

Revenue per working day in the UK grew by 7%, from €199.1m in the fourth quarter of 2012 to €201.0m in the same period of 2013. In January, UK revenue per working day grew by 3% organically.
UK staffing revenue contracted by 1% as a number of contracts were, though this was partly offset by continued strong demand in the public sector. In the third quarter, UK staffing revenue had grown by 7%.
Randstad says it expects the gradual recovery to continue, after organic revenue per working day grew 3.2% in January compared with 2.2% in the fourth quarter.
Chief executive officer Ben Noteboom says: “Growth continued throughout the fourth quarter of 2013, confirming a gradual recovery.”
