Over 450,000 private sector jobs will be created in the next 12 months, according to the latest Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales ICAEW/Grant Thornton UK Business Confidence Monitor (BCM) report.

The report claims that small and medium-sized businesses in the private sector will be looking for 450,000 new employees before the middle of 2015 as confidence in their future prospects surges to record levels.
According to the report, employment prospects have improved with an increase of 2.2% expected in employee numbers in the next 12 months. There is also added pressure on wage growth with salaries starting to match inflation with increases planned of 2.2% and staff turnover becoming more of an issue.
The report, covering the first quarter of the year, found that firms throughout the country felt more bullish about the economy than ever before, with the property and construction sector leading the way.
