Employment and learning minister for Northern Ireland Stephen Farry launched a public consultation on zero-hours contracts yesterday (23 June).
In March 2014, the minister informed the assembly that he would take forward a public consultation on zero-hours contracts. The 14-week consultation will be taken forward in parallel with Northern Ireland-specific research to gain a more accurate understanding of the numbers of zero-hours contracts, including where and how they are being used.
The consultation period will run from 23 June to 29 September.
