The recruitment industry is about to have its moment in the spotlight as TV producers look for recruitment firms to take part in a fly-on-the-wall documentary.
In its advertisement for the show Dragonfly TV, the makers of Channel 4’s One Born Every Minute, said it is interested in speaking to all agencies, regardless of size and location.
Dragonfly says: “We want to know what makes someone employable, how recruitment works and how you match the best people with the best jobs, all through the precinct of a vibrant and successful recruitment agency.
“We would like to make a warm and original series which gives the viewers an insight into the day-to-day workings of an office and then follow through into how candidates get placed into a workplace and how they get on with their new job.”
Vicky Roythorne, group operations manager at Outsource UK, told Recruiter that a fly-on-the-wall documentary could be good for the recruitment industry and “get rid of the negative perceptions” of the industry by showing all the hard word that goes on behind the scenes.
