The US Department of Labor (DoL) has made available a $1.6m (£0.9m) National Emergency Grant to provide re-employment services to around 330 workers affected by the closure of the HJ Heinz facility, located in Pocatello, Idaho.

The US Department of Labor (DoL) has made available a $1.6m (£0.9m) National Emergency Grant to provide re-employment services to around 330 workers affected by the closure of the HJ Heinz facility, located in Pocatello, Idaho.
The grant will provide assistance to the workers in conjunction with the services they will receive as a result of their eligibility for Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) benefits.
This grant, along with services available through the TAA programme, will be used to provide the affected workers with the training and supportive services they need to successfully find employment.
In November 2013, HJ Heinz announced the closure of its Pocatello plant, affecting roughly 400 employees.
