Wed, 2 Jul 2014Both Zendesk, the provider of cloud-based customer service software, and viagogo, the global online ticket exchange, are being supported by IDA Ireland as they open new offices and create jobs in the country.
Zendesk originally opened its Dublin office at the end of 2012 with two engineers and a plan to grow to 25 by the end of 2013, but they reached that number a month early and have more than doubled headcount in the most recent six months to 52 employees.
The office move gives them the capacity to grow from 52 to 150 people in the future.
In addition, viagogo Group has opened a purpose-built international operations centre in Limerick.
The operations centre is recruiting for a wide variety of technical and customer service roles for people with a range of skills and languages. Besides English, viagogo is presently hiring German, French, Italian and Spanish speakers as well.
The new centre is due to open later this year but the company has already recruited a team of people who are based at a temporary location in Limerick’s city centre.
