Philippine recruitment agencies outed for ‘poor judgement’

The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) has published a list of 50 recruitment agencies for allegedly failing to repatriate overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) they have deployed but who faced problems abroad.

POEA administrator Hans Cacdac posted a list of the 50 agencies to social networking site Facebook saying it was “enough already”.
“We are publishing the names of 50 recruitment agencies with the most number of repatriation cases with documentary suspension before the POEA. These recruiters have displayed poor judgement in terms of complying with their promise to repatriate distressed OFWs.
“We shall docket cases against all 50 recruitment agencies for failure to properly repatriate their OFWs, with orders of preventive suspension imposed upon those in the top 10.”
He also said six out of 10 recruiters’ licences in the top 10 had already been cancelled.
