Jobseekers heading to Qatar continue to fall victim to visa racketeers, The Gulf Times has reported.
In the latest case, 15 engineers from India paid between INR125k and INR160k (£1.3k to £1.6k) to agents in their own country to get the work visas and were promised jobs in Qatar.
Nearly three months after arriving in the country, five of the men remain stranded while the others have had to return, jobless, to India.
The publication said the five are unable to leave Qatar without paying large sums of money for exit permits.
