Lord Andrew Mawson OBE, one of the UK’s leading social entrepreneurs, will be the guest speaker at Recruiter’s inaugural Investing in Talent awards, it has been announced.

Lord Mawson said he was pleased to be speaking at the awards ceremony, as he has always believed that “an investment in staff is an investment in your business”.

He told Recruiter that hiring the right staff is a key part of the job in creating a successful organisation; the other part is investing in staff to ensure their personal wellbeing and career progression.

Recruiter editor DeeDee Doke said: "I am proud and absolutely delighted that Lord Mawson has agreed to speak at our inaugural Investing in Talent celebration. His work is a shining example of what it means to truly invest in talent, and he is one of the most inspiring individuals in the UK today, making a difference in ways that will continue to pay dividends in human capital terms years from now.”

Mawson said he would be speaking on the theme “It’s people, not structures”.

The winners will pick up their prizes at an Awards lunch and ceremony on 22 October at the Congress Centre in London. Visit www.investingintalent.co.uk to book your table.
