Police in India have arrested about 75 congressmen during a protest march in Mumbai that demanded the resignation of chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan over a recruitment scam, according to news website dnaindia.com.
The politicians were protesting about alleged irregularities in the conduct of entrance tests for various colleges and recruitment for government jobs.
Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board, which conducts the tests, is under investigation by a special task force for the alleged irregularities.
Among those arrested was Madhya Pradesh legislative assembly opposition leader Satyadev Katare.
