The Telegraph has reported the Queen is looking for someone to remove gum from furniture and floors of her Scottish residence, Holyrood House.
The successful recruit would work four hours a day, five days a week and may also be tasked with making royal beds and laundering royal linen.
The gum-picking job advert appears to have been removed from www.royal.gov.uk but there are a number of other posts available, including Buckingham Palace-based recruitment adviser, which closes today.
