Temporary labour procurer de Poel has launched the ‘Suits Me’ card, a VISA debit card for temporary workers without a bank account.

De Poel chief executive Matthew Sanders said in a statement: “Despite being willing and qualified to work, many [agency workers] … are unable to do so because of outmoded banking systems. EU residents, an integral part of UK plc’s workforce, in particular struggle to gain high-street banking facilities.”

De Poel says it expects 100,000+ workers will use the card in the next 12 months, through more than 500 temporary recruitment agencies.

Workers benefit from a card that can be used in 24m locations worldwide and offers them immediate access to their wages and benefits, as well as a secure online banking facility.
