Wed, 25 Feb 2015Around 77% of employers are planning to recruit permanent staff and 41% are planning to recruit temporary agency workers in the next three months, according to the latest JobsOutlook survey by the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC).

The survey also reveals that almost all employers (92%) believe temporary workers earn the same as or more than their permanent counterparts.

The monthly report found 36% of the 600 respondents thought temporary workers earn more than they would on a permanent contract, while 56% thought temporary workers would earn the same. Only 2% thought those workers would earn less.

Almost a year ago (March 2014), only 19% of employers thought temporary staff earned more than their permanent colleagues.
